He looks forward to working with other organizations that focus on children, to serve and raise money for those in need.

Darryl is very proud to introduce three up and Coming Artists he has met.

First is Darryl’s own Grandson Isaiah Woods, Isaiah is an up and coming Local Artist who is trying to make a name for himself. He has been honing his artistic talent in the shadow of his GrandFather, but NO Longer! He is standing on his own. Isaiah is home schooled and has enjoys drawing Cartoons, Anime and anything Pop Culture. has been working on it for the last few years and is turning his talents into some amazing pieces of Art.

Isaiah is home schooled, he enjoys drawing cartoons, anime and anything Pop Culture.

He always loved the idea of Art but, it was his Grandpa who also is an Artist sparked his interest into making Art of his own. Now Isaiah's dream is to become a GREAT ARTIST and show the world his talents.

Melissa Alexander is a Nature Photographer from Sedalia, Missouri who enjoys being out in nature and capturing her subjects in their natural habitat. Melissa Graduated from Otterville Public School where her love of art got its start. She also played softball and basketball after school. Her love of horses lead her to compete in horse shows and rodeos. She attended college after High School at State Fair Community College where she majored in Art and was on the Rodeo team and in Art Club. Melissa has had several jobs working in factories but her most enjoyable work place was Jim's Garden Center. Other accomplishments are that she owned and produced her own Renaissance Festival. Melissa credits her love of photography to Ward and Sue Wallard, they taught her the ropes about booking weddings and portraits. She is a self taught Wild Life and Landscape Photographer. Melissa’s Art background has helped in her endeavors when she competed in the Missouri State Fair Photography Competition where she has won several classes and earned several honorable mentions.

London Palmer Hello, my name is London Palmer and I am in 8th grade. I started drawing as a way to express myself. My parents suggested art as a venting source because I have a hard time expressing myself with words so I use art as a way to do that. I'm an older sister to an amazing little brother and a music lover. My dad introduced this subject to me when I was around 3 years old. At first it was just a hobby but now it's one of my biggest passions. Hope you enjoy where the adventure awaits!

1. Name:

Deven Knapp

Title:

Absorption Series

Bio:

Deven Knapp is a documentary photographer who focuses on a feeling of nostalgia and the idea of the overlooked. She photographs things that pique her interest, which are often ones others are accustomed to seeing and pass by without a second glance. Because of this, she is able to see beauty in everyday objects. Deven graduated with highest distinction from the University of Kansas' Design BFA program, majoring in Photo Media with a minor in History of Art. She currently works as the Art Gallery Collection Specialist at Kansas City Kansas Community College.

Artist Statement:

Light has been a vital element of art since the beginning. Early Renaissance painters turned to techniques such as chiaroscuro to make their paintings come to life. Light also holds the forefront of photography. From exposing objects to light-sensitive paper to keeping negatives safely away from light sources, light is always on the mind of an artist. It could even be argued that emphasis on light and shadow is often more important than the actual scene being depicted. To explore this concept, I have photographed these configurations to show the beauty that nature is able to create hand in hand with human creations, while also capturing a moment in time and preserving something that will change. If I returned to these locations on a different day, these photographs would look entirely different. In this work, the natural lighting is what many notice first while the background is absorbed by deep shadows. It is then the job of the viewer to observe what else is included in the scene.
